Sterling Ski Club (SSC) is a family-friendly ski and sports club, located in
Stratford, Connecticut. Weekly Meetings are held on Thursday at 7:30 pm at
Sterling House Community Center at 2283 Main St. The club was founded in 1937
and now has over 200 members. One of the founding ski clubs in Connecticut, we will
celebrate our 70th year with events all winter, culminating in a banquet in May, 2007.
The weekly meetings often have special events or guest speakers and are open to
both members and prospective members.
WHAT YOU GET WITH YOUR MEMBERSHIP
Sterling owns two lodges in Vermont. Members and guests can enjoy lodging
throughout the year for a little as $15 for members per night, per person or $25
for guests. The Brattleboro Lodge is in West Brattleboro, VT and sleeps 30 people.
It is less than an hour drive from most of southern Vermont’s premier ski areas
such as Mt. Snow, Okemo, Bromley and Stratton Mountain. The Glen Ellen Lodge,
located in Waitsfield, VT, sleeps 20 people. It is located slope-side on Mt. Ellen
at Sugarbush North Ski Resort just a short walk or drive to the base lodge. Skiing
at Sugarbush and Mad River Glen is just minutes away by car. Both lodges feature
bedrooms with bunk beds, and shared bathrooms. Both have comfortable living and
dining areas with full kitchens.
Your membership with Sterling Ski Club also includes membership at Stratford’s
Sterling House Community Center and the Connecticut Ski Council.
Sterling House Community Center is a multi-service community center located in
the heart of Stratford, Connecticut. Since its opening about 80 years ago, Sterling House
has been a mecca for young and old. It is dedicated to serving all ages from the
toddler to the senior adult, and provides affordable social, educational and

The Connecticut Ski Council (CSC) offers their membership discounted ski tickets
to many resorts, as well as discounted participation in the CSC's many events. The CSC
has a calendar of “Awareness Days,” which are discounted ski days starting as low as
$25 a ticket. All you need to do is show up on the designated day and present your
Ski Club’s Membership Card with appropriate CSC member stickers to receive the discount.
